I just took a survey on why I hike 14ers. Someone in the 14er FB group is doing research for their senior thesis/project on why people climb 14ers, and since I’ve been on the research end, I love helping people out with this stuff.
One of the questions was “What does your family think about your hiking 14ers?”
My response: They wonder why I chase death, and are worried I’m going to get eaten by a Grizzly Bear. Seriously
